How to write a villanelle

A Poetry Workshop, 'Learn How to Write a Villanelle', was led by veteran poet John Eppel, assisted by Philani Amadeus Nyoni, coordinated by Dr Drew Shaw of the Centre for English Excellence. Starting with the example of Dylan Thomas's 'Do not go gentle into that good night, participants learned the discipline of the villanelle and were able to write their own villanelles by the end of the session.
